I did my first birth there and said goodbye to my mother there. On both occaisions my load was made lighter by an atmosphere of caring involvement - impossible in Coffs hospital. The pollies call closing hospitals progress. I am terrified of big hospitals with good reason.

Reg C My partners son had a bad infection in his foot and Bellingen Hospital came to the rescue, looked aftter him and got him back up and on his feet in know time, the staff and treatment you could never complain about.

Jaki L I've been told by Bello and Coffs Harbour folk that the wait at Coffs A&E is often 8 hours, Day Surgery 12 to 18 months, ambulances queued up 5 or 6 deep, mothers-to-be told they cant book into CH Maternity cause beds already allocated. Bello Hospital can help with all of this: reinstate its full services so we can share the load! THEN we can try to ensure people dont have Adam's experiences

A friend of mine had a baby 10 months ago and had no problems booking in, staff and doctors.....five star service..only this week had to have day surgery and she had to wait 4 hours prior to that had to have gall bladder out and only had to wait 6 weeks, the staff at Coffs do and amazing job... Bellingen River District Hospital would be a big asset to Coffs....we need Bello and Coffs, they need to work together. I am sure this one of many beautiful occasions where everything went smoothly and yes people may be inconvenienced at various stages, but hey that is the public sustem and you have the government to blame.

Caroline J:    Hello there are six ALP Senators visiting Bellingen Golf Club for dinner between 6pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday evening and you are invited to come on down to the Golf Club around 5.45pm to show the Senators how much we care about keeping our hospital and health services in Bellingen. Caroline J On the 24th Feb CWA members will recieve cakes bricabrac plants and books for a Jumbo stall to raise funds for the hospital and food donations need to be labelled with ingredients and all items costed for the stall to be held in front of the IGA on Friday the 26th Feb

When we ( my Elders) as Aboriginal people were not allowed within the Macksville Hospital my family walked from Bowraville to Belligen for treatment... good luck with your plight my family fully support you

I don't understand why they would take out Bellingen Hospital. Its harder to get to the Coffs Health Campus then it is to drive up the road to a local surgery. Politics are frustrating
