Elizabeth W I was also born in the bellingen hospital 63 years ago. Only for Dr Hewitt and this hospital I would have died at 18months old.I spent a lot of time in this hospital till I was 10 years old. Spent one christmas there.I remember everyone was at the big table in the middle of the ward,I was still sleeping in my bed, when nurse heather fuller came and took me over and sat me on a pillow so I was high enough to see the food on the table. Even though I was very sick, I still do have lots of memories.
