Paige A I live locally and have needed to use the emergency dept several times

over the past 8 weeks due to an ongoing medical problem . Everytime i

was met with understanding nurses and doctors who were not only 

helpful but genuinely sympathetic and quick to do all they could to

provide pain relief and medication. The wait in the emergency room

wasnt so bad, each time a nurse coming out and making sure we were ok.

I cannot say in words how much i appreciate all of the staff at the

hospital and the security of knowing that they are close by should any

problems occur in the future. I live in Urunga and am still trying to

understand why the hospital would be taken away from our residents (

many of them elderly ) .We need to keep the hospital open. The last

time i was in Coffs Hosp it took over 5 hrs to see someone. I cant

imagine what that wait would be like for an elderly person , not to

mention how they would get there if they didnt call an ambulance.

PLEASE keep our hospital.
